This Week (4/25-5/1)
  • Small Group (4/25): Our SG leader Eira will continue her group meetings this Friday at 6:00 PM. The focus will be on John Green’s “The Anthropocene Reviewed,” as we examine both God and humanity’s role in shaping the world as it exists today, as well as how those two roles intertwine. This evening, small group is looking at four more chapters/essays from the book: “Jerzy Dudek’s Performance on May 25, 2005,””Penguins of Madagascar,” “Piggly Wiggly,” and “Monopoly.”

  • Young Adult Small Group (4/27): God does extraordinary things through ordinary people. This is the theme of Nadia Bolz-Weber's book Accidental Saints. The Young Adult Group will use this as a launch for discussion in our new meeting time - 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings. Join Pastor Ryan, Pastor Meghan, and Steve Nichols for fellowship and conversation.

  • Large Group [Last Sunday Night Program of the Semester] (4/27): We are so excited to welcome Princella Talleyfor Large Group this Sunday! Princella has been a writer, ghostwriter, and editor since 2006. She was an Arts and Entertainment columnist for both CBS Las Vegas and Las Vegas Guardian Liberty Voice. She has also worked as an editor and writer for publications in the United States, South America, and throughout the Caribbean islands where she has conducted high-profile interviews with authors, musicians, and filmmakers. As a digital marketer, she has written television and radio scripts for Fortune 500 companies and globally recognized brands and led successful Grammy campaign ads. She will be diving into the role of Christianity in systemic injustice—and how we can hold onto hope in this new political season. She will also be sharing her insights on climate grief and how impactful creativity can help us respond to the climate crisis.

  • Ryan’s Roaming Hours (4/30): Wesley’s campus minister, Ryan LaRock, will be at the ISC Starbucks from 11:30-1:30. Enjoy a chat about faith, school, and more with a complimentary coffee (or other sold drink of your choice) when you stop by!

  • Worship at Wesley! (5/1): Wesley’s last worship service of the semester will be at 7:00 PM this coming Thursday. Worship services tend to last 30-45 minutes, with a sermon from Ryan, singing, scripture reading, and optional communion for all.
